Description Now in its third year, this National Poetry Month event has quickly become a highly anticipated annual happening for New York City high school students. Featuring New York's hottest spoken word artists, poets, and musiciains, this program promises to be a cutting-edge, cross generational, and cross-cultural tour de force.
This season's lineup will include international spoken word artist Rha Goddess, whose debut project, "Soulah Vibe" was called "one of the year's coolest records" by Time magazine; Universes, a multilingual spoken word and music ensemble, and hip hop violinists Nuttin' But Stringz.
Includes an in-school, pre-show preparation workshop for every class attending the live performance and a teacher's study guide.
