Description Grotowski’s Apocalypse (also known as Apocalypsis Cum Figuris) was based on writings by T.S. Eliot, Simone Weil, and the Book of Revelations. It was the last professional production Grotowski directed, before turning his attention to paratheatrical research. This production was cited by members of the Polish Laboratory Theatre as an example of a “total act,” which Grotowski compared to “an act of the most deeply rooted, genuine love between two human beings” and which “epitomizes the actor's deepest calling.”
Dates for the performances of Apocalypse can be found in the Acropolis program from the same year.
