Description This special program presented the New York premiere of Mark Morris’s “All Fours,” a dance set to the music of Bela Bartok. It also featured the world premiere of “Violet Cavern,” a piece which took Morris in a new direction: jazz. A collaboration with the avant-jazz outfit The Bad Plus (who performed live at the premiere) “Violet Cavern” was commissioned by BAM and was performed by 15 of the principle dancers of the Mark Morris Dance Group.
