Description DanceAfrica’s 25th anniversary celebration brought the return of several classic DanceAfrica companies—such as the Chuck Davis Dance Company, the Charles Moore Dance Theatre, and LaRocque Bey School of Dance—who were featured alongside some of the more recent regulars, like Rennie Harris Puremovement and Forces of Nature. Along with the lively DanceAfrica bazaar, many side events were held, including a slam poetry performance featuring artists of HBO’s Def Poetry series.
