Heidi Rodewald, Donna Di Novelli, and Kevin Newbury, the creative forces behind The Good Swimmer, lead this unique workshop in adapting found material for the stage. The class begins with a discussion of Rodewald, Di Novelli, and Newbury’s creative process, then each participant presents a single-page example of found text—or any non-literary material, from ad copy to cookbook recipes—that they believe to be unique with the potential to serve as the basis for a full theatrical piece. The remainder of the workshop is devoted to receiving feedback from the team.
