Premiere New York Premiere

Description In Dah-Dah-Sko-Dah-Dah a roaring saxophone and piano performance urges Teshigawara, in white face reminiscent of both butoh and traditional Kabuki, through a solo of hypnotic proportions. Watching him move is akin to capturing movement underwater.

During the second half of Dah-Dah he sits on a sky-high-backed chair flanked by a huge pussycat, Chinese lanterns, and a row of goldfish bowls, and recites a poem through a voice-distortion mechanism.
