Description Grades 6-12. Writer/Composer/Director Elizabeth Swados, whose Broadway hit Runaways explored the lives of street kids in the 70s, now turns her sights on today's kids, a generation in search of the traditional "familly" unit. Swing, created and performed by 25 young people representing a cross-section of the city's youth, is full of the hope, love and companionship they have built to overcome lives rooted in poverty, fear, and despair. We are extremely proud to share this major event from BAM's Next Wave Festival with you.
