Description Arts & Justice is a unique interdisciplary visual and performing arts program that encourages students to develop their artistic, decision-making, and critical-thinking skills in examining issues releated to social justice in their communities. Students can choose to participate in one of two parallel tracks taught by master instructors: theater, which explores the fundamentals of writing and performing for the stage, and visual arts, which offers instruction in fine arts and creation of visual works for public exhibition as a positive, community-centered outlet. Students attend live performances and visit art galleries and both tracks will culminate in an informal performance and exhibition on Thursday, December 8, 2011.
