Description Grades 9-12. 23 workshops. Students develop artistic and critical-thinking skills in this interdisciplinary program that helps them to examine social justice in their communities and view public spaces as a community-centered outlet. Students choose between two parallel tracks, taught by master instructors: theater, which explores the fundamentals of writing and performing for the stage, and visual arts, which offers hands-on instruction in the creation of art for public exhibition. Students attend live performances and visit art galleries, and both tracks culminate with an informal performance and exhibition.
