Description Free After-school Workshop Series. Fall Session is a prerequisite for Spring. This intensive series of workshops focuses on how to approach Shakespeare's work in the classroom (grades 8-12). Michael LoMonico (senior consultant on National Education at the Folger Shakespeare Library, author of The Shakeseare Book of Lists and Shakespeare 101, and a former high school teacher) leads this course along with BAM teaching artists and guest workshop leaders.
During the fall semester, participants examine Shakespeare's work through practical performance activities, historical context, and textual anaylsis. In the spring, particpants focus on Shakespeare's The Comedy of Errors. Participants will recieve a copy of the play and resource books, plus a ticket to the performance on March 17.
