Description Grades 3-12. BAM presents a lively showcase of traditional Balinese music and dance. Featuring a complete gamelan orchestra wholly distinctive to Indonesia, the performance includes metallophones, xylophones, drums, and gongs -- and dancers performing in the unique and virtuosic style of movement that is exclusive to this island. Gamelan Salukat is directed by the dynamic Dewa Ketut Alit and performed by the enchanting Kadek Dewi Aryani and the 14-year old Nyoman Triyana Usadhi. Includes a pre-show preparation workshop, a teacher study guide, and a post-performance discussion.
