Description This is a special opportunity to examine puppetry as an art form through an introduction to the legacy of Jim Henson -- the extraordinarily influential creator of not only the Muppets™ and Sesame Street® characters, but of a broad host of innovative puppets for audiences of all ages. Rarely seen footage of Henson demonstrating how the puppets are brought to life will be screened with sample programs illustrating the diversity of his puppets and his method of storytelling. An episode of The Storyteller™, a dramatic series based on traditional fairytales, combining live actors and puppetry, will be screeend. Instead of pre-show preparation workshops, there will be an extended post-show discussion.
