Description Composer and saxophonist Henry Threadgill will lead 28 hand-picked instrumentalists and singers in the world premiere of his largest work to date: Run Silent, Run Deep, Run Loud, Run High. As leader of the acclaimed trio Air, and his own hot stomping sextet, Threadgill has injected a new enthusiasm and remarkable inventiveness into the jazz idiom. For his BAM-commissioned work, Threadgill will mix elements of Western music with non-Western percussion, balancing collective improvisation with standard notation to create a grand ritualistic musical experience.
