BAM Affiliation Molissa Fenley formed Molissa Fenley and Dancers in 1977. In her 35-year career she has choreographed over 75 works. After the company began to tour nationally and internationally in 1980, BAM's Next Wave Festival commissioned HEMISPHERES (1983, with music by Anthony Davis and visual elements by Francesco Clemente) and GEOLOGIC MOMENTS (1986, with music by Philip Glass and Julius Eastman).
