Description As part of the first annual Next Wave Festival, the Lucinda Childs Dance Company presented the New York premieres of two pieces. The first, Mad Rush, featured music from Philip Glass’s Fourth Series and lighting by Beverly Emmons. The second, Available Light, has come to be regarded as one of Childs’ defining pieces. Choreographed to a score by John Adams, the piece featured Emmons’ distinctive lighting, and a set designed by Frank Gehry.
