Description A tribute by today's young lions to their musical ancestors and to an historic concert series. This extraordinary event is inspired by a now legendary Carnegie Hall concert series in 1938 and 1939 that brought African American musicians to the Carnegie Hall stage for the first time in history. The concert featured an array of the best boogie-woogie and stride players of the day, including Meade Lux Lewis, Albert Ammans, Pete Johnson, Joe Turner, and others.
