Description Beginning with the 1993 season, 651 will present "Betty Carter: Jazz Ahead," an annual program showcasing a new generation of jazz musicans under the guidance and leadership of the reigning diva of jazz. This year's showcase will highlight the talents of young sidemen from across the country, while affording them the opoprtunity to play with jazz's preeminent vocalist.
