Description With a tale that questions notions of gender, patriarchy, knowledge and power, Yentl, the Yeshiva Boy was one of the most successful productions of the Chelsea Theater Center. After premiering at BAM the production moved to the Eugene O’Neill Theater on Broadway, where it ran for 223 performances. Lead actress Tovah Feldshuh won a Theatre World Award, a Drama Desk Award, and an Obie Award for her portrayal of Yentl.
