Description November 10: Miracle Room. Industrial/tribal music from Austin Texas -- they mistook an old Ford for a brass drumand the rest is history.
November 11: Zahar.
November 12: Power Tools/Ronald Shannon Jackson, Melvin Gibbs and Pete Cosey. A power trio of Jazz/Fun/New Music superstars.
November 13: Curlew with Amy Denio "Paul Haines Set to Music." The New York art-rock band adds singer Amy Denio to perform the group's songs with lyrics by Canadian poet Paul Haines.
November 14: Kahondo Style. A septet of British improvisors create almost pop melodies with vocals by Kozuky Hohki of Frank Chickens.
November 15: Musica Elettronica Viva/Alvin Curran, Steve Lacy, Garret List, Frederic Rzewski and Richard Teitelbaum. The seminal 60s electronic improvising collective, who made the "l" word acceptable in classical music circles, reuinites for this special NMA concert.
November 16: Negativland. This California group uses radio and TV broadcast material to conjure a suburban mise en scene.
November 17: Graham Haynes, Marc Ribot & Rootless Cosmopolitans. This mixed medley of bands ranges from multi-media Brooklyn funk to rootless NYC rock.
