Description The 1987 DanceAfrica festival brought back a number of the festival’s longtime favorites, including: Charles Moore, Arthur Hall’s Afro-Dance Ensemble, Women of the Calabash, and Dinizulu. A special treat in the second program, “The Honoring of the Elders,” featured Pearl Primus, who led the ceremonial honoring of the elders that occurs at the beginning of each DanceAfrica program.
