Description After his three-year stint as director of dance for the Théâtre Royal de la Monnaie, Mark Morris brought his ensemble back to the US (resuming the previous name, Mark Morris Dance Group), and co-founded the White Oak Dance Project with Mikhail Baryshnikov. During BAM’s 1993 Spring season, members of the White Oak Dance Project (including Baryshnikov and Morris) presented a program of new dances choreographed by Morris called Dances to American Music, which included the New York premiere of “Grand Duo,” a piece set to music by Lou Harrison, and the world premieres of “Mosaic and United” and “Home.”
