Description Based on the long poem of the same title by iconic Beat poet Allen Ginsberg (who adapted the poem for the stage), Kaddish tells the life story of Naomi, the troubled mother of the poet. In his review for the New York Times Clive Barnes write that actress Marilyn Chris “is giving one of the great performances of the season as the mother, Naomi.” Chris went on to win on Obie, a Drama Desk Award, an Outer Critics Circle and a Variety Desk Poll for her performance.
