Description Part of the 1971 Afro-Asian Festival, dancers, musicians and singers drawn from 200 Senegalese villages made their American debut at the Brooklyn Academy of Music. To tom-toms and djimbes the 42 men and women of the troupe, dressed in traditional costume, present the folklore of Senegal -- a mixture of tribal and Arabic influences.
