Description The Phantom Project—The 20th Season offered a summation of the achievements Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company, with an eye projected into the future. While presenting classics like Jones’s “Last Supper at Uncle Tom’s Cabin” and Zane’s 1978 “Continuous Replay,” the program also included the US premiere of “Chaconne,” as well as the New York premiere of “Reading, Mercy and the Artificial Nigger,” a dance based on the Flannery O’Connor story of the same title. Also, presented was a revised version of the 1994 "Still/Here Looking On." With an assortment of special guest artists including Susan Sarandon, DJ Spooky, and Vernon Reid, The Phantom Project was a fitting monument to the memory of Arnie Zane.
