Production Language Spanish
Country of Origin United States, Cuba
Description 4th - 9th grades. Puerto Rican percussionist Bobby Sanabria, born and raised in the South Bronx, was nominated for the GRAMMY Award this past year for his dynamic homage to Latin jazz. Sanabria brings kaBAM its first big band, nineteen instruments strong, creating an exciting explosion of scintillating rhythms and melodies, providing background to the grand musical mezcla Sanabria has explored since his student days at Berklee College of Music. Extending a three-year music performance series at BAM that included Don Byron, Vernon Reid, and Toshi Reagon, The Bobby Sanabria Big Band explores the rich and exotic culture of beat, heat, and melody that is pure Sanabria.
