Description The 20th anniversary celebration of the Mark Morris Dance Group featured many of Morris’s classics, including 1984’s Gloria, 1988’s L'Allegro, il Penseroso ed il Moderato, and pieces such as Falling Down Stairs. One of the most anticipated dances of the nearly month-long engagement—which took place just before the MMDG took up residence across the street from BAM—was the New York premiere of Gertrude Stein’s opera Four Saints in Three Acts.
This three-week anniversary engagment featured five different programs.
