Description BAM Gala 2021 honors three powerhouse Brooklynites who have shared their talent and vision with BAM and the borough over the years: world-renowned actor and Brooklyn resident Sir Patrick Stewart; longtime BAM supporter and Brooklyn native Shelby White and the Leon Levy Foundation, whose generosity made the BAM Digital Archives possible; and choreographer and founder of Brooklyn-based dance company Urban Bush Women Jawole Willa Jo Zollar. The festivities include music by Brooklyn-based Afrobeat band Antibalas, dancing, awards, and the kickoff of the BAM Art Auction.
