Country of Origin United States
Description "I propose a project that combines live theater with live video. The intention: to create a thought provoking emotional triangle between several characters. Simultaneous to the action performed on stage, a large-screen projection creates a montage of visual associations with the characters and events, and serves to amplify emotions and metaphorical associations.
The piece explores caricatures of female "purity" and male "virility;" and a surrounding social world that nurtures a state of warfare between the sexes. One woman is a kleptomaniac; one man is caught in the past, unable to deal with today‘s technological advances; and another man is a detective searching for "the dead girl." The theatrical backdrop is Oppenheimer, the man behind the atomic bomb—film noir depicts the common denominator of fear and deception." —Excerpts from Beth B’s proposal
