Description From R&B to soukous, funk to mizik rasin, Concerts in the Park/Brooklyn, presented by City Parks Foundation in association with the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM) and produced by Central Park SummerStage, features an exhilarating musical potpourri with free summer concerts in Brooklyn's Fort Greene and Von King Parks. With concerts presented Monday and Tuesday nights at 7:00pm, beginning July 16 and ending August 20, the series features Ben E. King, Harold Melvin & the Blue Notes, Boukan Ginen, Brooklyn Funk Essentials, Danilo Perez & His Trio, Diblo Dibala & Matchatcha, Bill Perry and The Persuasions. Concerts in the Parks/Brooklyn was funded by Forest City Ratner Companies, The Chase Manhattan Bank, Ben and Jerry's, City Parks Foundation, Brooklyn Union and WLIB.
