Description Stu is a Never Records recidivist who has performed at 7 Never Records installations. We met in a bar late one night in Liverpool. He had been recording in the basement studio of the club. When I saw he had a guitar I invited him to make a record in my installation on Seale St. Since that night he has recorded Derry, London, New Orleans, Amman, Kansas City, and Brooklyn. We wanted to do something special to honor our decade long collaboration, so I invited Jonathan Toscano to sit in. Jonathan had performed at BAM earlier in the exhibition with the amazing Leila Adu, and I had a sense that he would compliment Stu’s music perfectly. The recording came out beautifully. Keep in mind when you listen, they had no rehearsals, and had only met that morning. Sometimes, I am lucky, I get to capture and witness magical moments such as this.
