1983: The First Next Wave Festival: The past comes full circle in this exhibition of archival material from the inaugural Next Wave, featuring contact sheets, archival video footage, and other ephemera from performances such as THE PHOTOGRAPHER/Far From the Truth, Trisha Brown Dance Company’s Set and Reset, and The Gospel at Colonus.
On view all summer, this free exhibition is a collaboration between the BAM Hamm Archives and BAM Visual Art. The 2018 Next Wave Festival begins this fall, continuing BAM’s creative dialogue with past, present, and future.
