Choreography, Scenography and Lighting Design by Saburo Teshigawara

Saburo Teshigawara emerged in the mid 80s like a comet from another world, carving out what can only be described as a dance form for the 21st century. His dancers are masters of Butoh, classical ballet, and modern dance techniques, "wonders of delicacy, precision, and strength" says The Village Voice. Following his 1992 debut at BAM with the widely acclaimed DAH-DAH-SKO-DAH-DAH, Teshigawara returns with his latest full-evening work. A stunning, visceral, electrified dirge for our overly mechanized world, Noiject was hailed in Europe as "a work which etches an optical vision of beauty on our retinas." At home in Japan, it was called, "the most riveting piece of new dance to be performed in years."
