The story of the self-liberation of black slaves in the West Indeis and Brazil is told in a melange of experiemental music and modern dance consisting of traditional movement, capoeria, break dancing and more, refelecting the explosive new possibilities unleashed in the African Diaspora. Azanie is an ancient name for Africa.
