Description This dance troupe from Burkina-Faso and Paris, one of the most important contemporary dance companies in Africa, performs the New York premiere of Yenenga under the choreography and artistic direction of Irène Tassembedo. Weaving West African dance styles with Eurpoean ballet and modern jazz dance, Tassembedo has created a vibrant style that is distinctly her own, and crackles with energy. Tassembedo describes Yenenga as "a search for lost light."
