Description Nine 2-hour workshops. Free of charge. Entering its fourth year at BAM, Shakespeare Teaches Teachers offers teachers an intensive series of workshops focused on presenting Shakespeare to high school students. The course is led by a university scholar and features guest artists, scholars, and a Shakespeare performance by the Royal National Theatre Education Department. BAM Teaching Artists contribute warm-ups and physical activities for use in the classroom. During the semester, participants explore Shakespeare's work through performance activities, historical context, and textual analysis. By the conclusion of the course, each participant wil have a complete Shakespeare curriculum for the high school classroom.
