Description Grades 1-6. Young People's Entertainment performed by the Pickwick Puppet Theatre. The Pickwick Puppet Theatre has been commissioned by the Little Orchestra Society to create puppet versions of musical masterpieces. Sleeping Beauty is one of them. During the 1966-67 season, the Theatre will be appearing with no less than seven symphony orchestras. The puppets in this production were designed to be used in the largest auditoriums, and range between four and five feet in height. They are controlled with rods manipulated from below the puppet stage. At the conclusion of the program, the puppeteers will demonstrate how the puppets are manipulated. Questions from the students will be welcomed. The Women's League for the Brooklyn Academy of Music, benefactors.
