Description Twelve 45min workshops appropriate for Grades K—8. Fee: $32 per student.
Students learn about Africa and its diaspora through dance and music.
Students gain literacy in African dance and music in this unique program. This year, focus is placed on the dance, music, oral histories, geography, and the Afro-Brazilian culture of Brazil, the home nation of DanceAfrica 2015’s visiting company.
Program participants attend a school-time DanceAfrica performance on May 20 or 21.
Special needs classes are encouraged to apply. Limited space is available.
