Description The 13th annual DanceAfrica festival featured the return of Dinizulu and His African Dancers, Drummers and Singers; as well as the presentation of the multifaceted ensemble Forces of Nature, who performed “Ancestral Earths,” a trilogy that fused African and Native American dance influences. Also presented for the first time was the National Ballet of Zaire, who performed “Rhythm and Dances,” a dance-theater piece in both English and Lingala, a Bantu language spoken throughout what is now the Congo.
