Description Grades 11-12. In the spring, BAM offers its popular after-school program Young Critics (YC). This unique nine-session program brings together select juniors and seniors who share a passion for theater and writing. Guided by a master teacher, YC particpants meet after school at BAM to engage in lively workshops about the performing arts and criticism. This year's participants will attend and review a performance of William Shakespeare's Twelfth Night, performed by Propeller and directed by Edward Hall, and Cymbeline performed by Cheek by Jowl and directed by Declan Donnellan, as well as the dance-theater work Edward Scissorhands, directed and choreographed by Matthew Bourne.
An anthology of student reviews is compiled at the end of the course.
