Description Ages 6-8. Participants create their own staged versions of classic fairy tales and fables in this fun-filled creative drama workshop. Through imaginative play and improvisation, kids explore the characters, themes, and action of the stories they love. The workshop culminates with a final performance for family and friends. Sign up for both weeklong sessions for double the fun! No previous experience is necessary.

About the Instructors:
Mel House teaches acting technique, playwriting, and Shakespeare at Theatre for a New Audience, Red Bull Theater, the Browning School, and Urban Arts Partnership. Her acting credits include Playwrights Horizons, Primary Stages, Atlantic Theatre Company, New Georges, Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre in London, and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. She studied at the William Esper Studio and the Atlantic Theater School, and is a graduate of the University of Exeter’s School of Drama in the UK.

Melissa Brown is a performer, writer, director, teacher, and storyteller. She has performed throughout the US and in England and appears in the films The Immaculate Conception of Little Dizzle, a Sundance and SXSW pick, and The Medicine Wheel. She has taught acting, writing, and storytelling throughout the country. Brown is the program director of Blueprint Summer Programs at Haverford College and a co-creator and instructor for the new education program at The Moth. Brown has an MFA from the Shakespeare Theatre Company's Academy for Classical Acting at George Washington University.
