Description Grades 9-12. Twelve 45 minute in-school workshops plus final student performance at BAM. Includes ticket to screening of Romeo + Juliet. Through in-depth scene and character study, students rehearse and perform their own Shakespearean scenes. By assuming the roles of actor, director, and designer, students engage with Shakespeares language in a new, exciting way, making connections between their own lives and the play's characters and events. This series of classroom workshops culminates in a final performance at BAM in which all participating schools come together to celebrate their collective acheivements. Teachers may choose between A Midsummer Night's Dream or Hamlet to focus on in class.
