Description Co-presented with Michael Kustow Productions and National Actors Theatre. John Barton, Renowed scholar and co-founder of the RSC, will lead a series of workshops focusing on Shakespeare's language and the American tradition.
Playing Shakespeare, USA will consist of twenty workshops spread over three weeks at BAM in spring 1998, coinciding with the residency of the Royal Shakesepeare Company at BAM's Majestic Theater. It will be filmed and edited into six television programs for Public Television and other broadcast outlets in the USA, and for coproduction or sales to international television. With the collaboration of a multi-media publisher, an interactive publication will be made, for whatever is the most successful 'platform' at the time.
