Description Black Dance opens with a special celebration created by Abdel R. Salaam featuring some of today's greatest dance pioneers, including George Faison, Eleo Pomare, Joan Miller, Rod Rodgers, Dyanne Harvey, Louis Johnson, Marlies Yearby, Fred Benjamin, Gus Solomons jr., and others. The evening will also bring forward Salaam's latest creation, Rhythm Legacy, and a sneak preview film screening of Free to Dance, a new documenary film produced by American Dance Festival, Madison D. Lacey, Series Producer/Director, and Charlies and Stephanie Reinhart, Excecutive Producers.
