Description When Ibsen's 19th century heroine Nora crossed the threshold from bondage to freedom, she became a controversial modern icon. In his provocative Schaubühne production, director Thomas Ostermeier re-examines Nora and the rights of the individual. Ostermeier will discuss issues related to freedom of speech and suppression of women's liberties with Nadine Strossen, President of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU). Moderated by Tom Sellar, Village Voice critic and editor of Yale's Theater magazine.
