Description Innovative and always challenging, Nina Wiener and Dancers make their third visit to The Next Wave Festival, following triumphant performances in 1983 (Wind Devil) and 1985 (In Closed Time). From her earlier non-narrative super-dense dance style, Wiener now balances the narrative with the abstract in two exciting new works -- the first, the world premiere of Fierce Attachments to music by Lucia Hwong. The second, the American premiere of Transatlantic Light (co-commissioned by and premiered at The Holland Festival in May, 1987) to music by Sergio Cervetti and with a set by the Dutch visual artist Keso Dekker. Jennifer Tipton will create the lighting for both works.
