BAM Affiliation David Byrne is an esteemed musician, founding member of the Talking Heads, creator of the highly regarded record label Luaka Bop, and a writer, photographer, and filmmaker. His extensive work at BAM includes The Forest (1988), New Music America: Rei Momo (1989), ATOMIC BOMB! The Music of William Onyeabor (2014) and Contemporary Color (2015). He has contributed to numerous other BAM productions including THE PHOTOGRAPHER/Far From the Truth (1983), Twyla Tharp (1984 and 1987) and Paul Simon: Under African Skies (2008). Byrne also designed the letter shaped bike racks that are outside the Peter Jay Sharp Building.
