BAM Affiliation One of the original DanceAfrica companies, the Dinizulu African Dancers, Drummers and Singers, introduced thousands to traditional African cultures and dance. Founded by the late Nana Yao Opare Dinizulu in the late 1940's, the company was a consistent representative of traditional African standards in presentation of traditional dances and music of Africa. The Dinizulu company appeared throughout the US and Caribbean and at such well-known locations as the New York City World's Fair African Pavilion, Cooper Union, Delacorte Theatre, Lincoln Center's Out of Doors Festival, the Museum of Natural History, Brooklyn Museum's Live Concert Series and Riverside Church Dance Theatre.
