Description Cristina García is the author of four novels, including Dreaming in Cuban, a National Book Award finalist. Her work has been translated into a dozen languages, and she is the recipient of the Guggenheim Fellowship, a Whiting Writer's Award, a Hodder Fellowship at Princeton University, and an NEA grant, among others. Her latest novel, The Lady Matador's Hotel, "has the energy of an obsessive tango. Or, indeed, a bullfight" (The New York Times Book Review). She is currently the artistic director for the Centrum Writers' Conference in Port Townsend, Washington and has taught literature and writing at numerous universities.
