Description Artists and intellectuals of the "Storm and Stress" movement galvanized late 18th-century Germany with their youthful rebelion against the Enlightenment and their celebration of the irrational. Conductor Nicholas McGegan explores this turbulent time through the music of Mozart and Haydn. Program highlights include guest artist Claire Bloom who will perform the title role in the American premeire of Jiri Anton Benda's musical melodrama Medea.
