Description Spinning off the success of last year's inaugural BAMkids Film Festival, kaBAM will include two films from different parts of the world to enhance its live-performance season. Students will see these international films in the state-of-the-art BAM Rose Cinemas. A pre-show preparation team will provide an education program for each film. The films will be screened in their original language with English subtitles, which will be read aloud by professional actors.

Chasing the Kidneystone. Norway. 2nd - 6th grade. On the eve of a trip that will take eight-year-old Simon and his grandfather to a reunion with a group of jazz musicians, the old man falls ill. Simon's teddy bear concocts a potion that shrinks him to microscopic size and soon Simon is off on a fantastic voyage through the human body. Along the way he meets a variety of wild characters including Mr. A. Pendix and Mrs. Bile amidst a feast of unbelievably beautiful sets and special effects. The boy and his pals eventually find the problem and solve it in this magic biological fantasy.
